How Do i Get a Free Upgrade on Lufthansa Airlines?

Have you booked a flight with Lufthansa Airlines and would like to enjoy the benefits of Premium Economy Class, Business Class or First Class? If yes, a very unique opportunity is accessible to you for an upgrade on Lufthansa flights. In case you are wondering  how do i get a free upgrade on Lufthansa airlines ? then read on the following piece-

  1. You need to decide for yourself what an exclusive travel experience is worth to you. Here is what you have to do -
  2. Go to the homepage of Lufthansa Airlines
  3. You have to log in using your login details at My bookings,
  4. Then make an offer by entering your credit card details and, with a little bit of luck, you receive your upgrade at the price you wanted.

Here is how you can make an offer

  1. As an Economy Class flyer especially on long-haul flights, you can choose whether you want to make your upgrade offer for Premium Economy or for Business Class.
  2. As a Premium Economy Class flyer, you can make your offer for an upgrade to Business Class.
  3. Business Class passengers are eligible to make an upgrade offer for First Class.
  4. As an Economy Class flyer especially on short and medium-haul flights, you can make your offer for an upgrade to Business Class.

Here is how you can do it-

  1. Firstly log in using your login details at My bookings.
  2. You then receive notification about whether you can submit an offer for an upgrade on your booking.
  3. Then click on the message which is relevant, if an upgrade is available for your booking.
  4. You can now enter the price which you are prepared to pay, however if you are lucky you can get it for free as well.
  5. Then enter your credit card information, check the offer you are entitled to and then submit.
  6. You then receive an email confirmation.

You also have the option to change or cancel your upgrade offer at any time up to seventy hours before your scheduled departure time. For this all you need to do is log in again under My bookings and adjust the offer which you have.

The various selection of upgrades-

Lufthansa lets you know by email and even a text message whether you would receive the upgrade at the latest between thirty-six and twenty-four hours before your scheduled departure. Before the selection is made final, all tickets that are the subject of an offer are checked again according to the terms and conditions of participation. If the booking has been changed in the meantime, an upgrade would no longer be possible.

In case your offer is accepted, your credit card would subsequently be debited with the amount you specified. You then receive new electronic tickets and, at check-in, boarding passes for the new travel class. If the flight is cancelled because of disruptions or inclement weather conditions, your upgrade would be valid for the next available flight.

If your offer was not accepted, Lufthansa would also let you know by email. You then fly in the travel class you originally booked, and you do not incur any extra costs. Plus you can also get in touch with Lufthansa airlines contact number if you have any issues regarding it.
